Funk & Soul is a dance workshop by Paddy, who is sharing his background of Street & Clubstyles to heat up the dancefloor at Nowhere. Together you will explore different social dance moves, combining it with musicality practice, adding funky details and soulful party moves.

The first part of the class will be focused on basic steps and drills, to get familiar and comfortable with the steps while broadening up your movement vocabulary. Through these steps you will get space to embody your own personal feeling of dancing as well as exchanging together, to also get inspired by each other and to find your own way of expressing through your dance.

In the second half we will implement these steps in a more set frame of a soulful choreography, of course always leaving space to add your own flavour on top.

Funk & Soul invites everyone who is curious to groove it out, with or without any kind of dance experience. We will build up from an open level to work on deepening your understanding of expressing through your body and just getting you out of your mind and into your body to shake it off together.
