RE:SURGENCE
— Dauphine Rosalie

A body remembers what the mind cannot name.

Through a video installation and live performance, we move between fragmentation and surrender, between the instinct to disappear and the urge to be felt.

Breath, image, sound and ritual give form to something ancient stirring beneath the surface.

What begins in isolation slowly gathers into a shared body, reclaiming presence, connection and the right to take up space.

A declaration made by the body after it has been silenced.

boy of glass
— Jillis Pieters

boy of glass is an audiovisual performance that touches on how to navigate intimacy, hardship and grief in a relationship that almost exclusively takes place online. Through poems and vocal loops, Jillis questions how romantic gestures are performed through digital channels and what it means for a screen to become the embodiment of someone you love. As the vocal loops fill the room, Jillis desperately attempts to return to his body and move away from the screen. But how do you detach from a world that is always at your fingertips? An object that holds the person closest to you? And what happens to the boy inside the glass when the screen is turned off?

AYO
— Karel López

Everything comes back to how we deal with external influences, and how much we trust ourselves in a world full of blueprints. We step into a culture that accepts us exactly as we are, at a time when we don’t even know who we are yet. We grow within an environment where trying and expecting become a necessity. We turn that expectation into a craving for recognition, asking to be seen at a time when love, perfection, and honesty have not yet found their balance. “Control” becomes our mantra. Recognition becomes the center of our lives.

We learn who we are while constantly feeling misunderstood. We listen to every voice except our own, collecting opinions, directions, and expectations along the way.
Until a moment comes when control begins to fade, and the only voice that remains is our own.

And when that happens, who takes responsibility for making sure you reach your destination?

Some Days are ROOTS
— Karel López

How everything starts will not define how everything will transform. This is where the journey begins. Rooted in noise, and raising a voice through footwork and
expressing rhythm and movement through different styles. What began in the company of friends evolved into a path of self-discovery, surrounded by love
and pain.

Never alone, but ultimately, a journey built alone. Even when surrounded by those we choose to be with.

The question remains:
Do we savor the company, or do we chase the results?

Poukwa an ka pléré vyé tè?
— Marine Magdalene

Inspired by Caribbean myths, oral traditions and belief systems, Poukwa an ka pléré vyé tè? is a sound performance weaving together storytelling, percussion and singing. The work moves between the material and the immaterial, the visible and the invisible, the dreamed and the awaken blurring the lines between time and space to create space for grounding and healing.

Through the exploration of Guadeloupe’s specific percussion rythm, nature sounds recording and dreamy soundscape, Marine use dreams and imagination to reconnect with the missing pieces of her African and caribbean heritage.

unfolding
— Charlotte Laan
