FEM(with)ME is een drie uur durende workshop waarin femininiteit centraal staat. Ontwikkeld met en voor LGBTQIA+ en BIPOC-gemeenschappen, maar open voor iedereen. De workshop wordt geleid door Black Pearl de Almeida Lima – een interdisciplinair kunstenaar, bekend als danser, choreograaf, docent, filmmaker en model.

Ze werkte met gerenommeerde gezelschappen als Gauthier Dance Company en Richard Siegal / Ballet of Difference en danste in werken van choreografen als Ohad Naharin en Hofesh Shechter. Binnen de ballroomscene loopt Black Pearl momenteel als 007 in zowel de Mainstream (Major) als de Kiki scene, waar ze de categorieën EU Runway en Vogue Fem presenteert.

En voor wie Black Pearl wil zien optreden, krijgt daar bij de voorstelling Holobiont van Boogaerdt/VanderSchoot op 13 juni in Club Raum een spectaculaire kans toe. Holobiont is een vijf uur durende happening waarin lichamen allesbehalve vastliggen: een queerrave, een collectief ritueel en een anarchistische speeltuin in één. Performers zoals Black Pearl zetten hun lichamen in om te spelen met identiteit, fluiditeit en het binaire mensbeeld. Niets staat stil: alles beweegt, verschuift en transformeert.

Praktisch

De workshop bouwt op van een warming-up naar runway- en heels-training, gevolgd door choreografie en performance. Je werkt aan houding, beweging en zelfexpressie, met aandacht voor vertrouwen, authenticiteit en aanwezigheid.

The workshop progresses from a warm-up to runway and heels training, followed by choreography and performance. Participants work on posture, movement, and self-expression, with an emphasis on confidence, authenticity, and presence.
